(i). All India Police Science Congress (AIPSC):

BPR&D organises All India Police Science Congress (AIPSC) annually in collaboration with the States/UTs/CAPFs/CPOs. AIPSC provides a common platform for all the police forces, prisons & correctional services, social scientists, forensic experts and other stakeholders for fruitful deliberations on selected themes pertinent to the Indian Police Forces, as a whole. The resolutions adopted in the AIPSC provide a way forward for law enforcement agencies, security forces and correctional services across the country.

The First AIPSC was held in the year 1960 in Bihar. Till now, BPR&D has successfully organized 49 AIPSCs. 49th AIPSC was held on 07-08 October, 2023, at FRI, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

(ii).All India Prison Duty Meet (AIPDM): 

BPR&D organizes All India Prison Duty Meet biennially with a view to improve the standard of professional skills and also to promote comradeship among the prison personnel. It also provides a platform for the prison personnel across the country to showcase their talents at the national level to boost their morale.

The first AIPDM was held in the year 2002 in Tamil Nadu. Till now, BPR&D has successfully organized 6 AIPDMs, with the last AIPDM held on 04-06 September, 2022, at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

(iii).National Conference of Heads of Prisons of all States/UTs:

BPR&D organizes National Conference of Heads of Prisons of all States/ UTs biennially with a view to share experiences on reforms in prison and correctional administration in the changing scenario.

The first National Conference of Heads of Prisons of all States/UTs was held in the year 2004 in Delhi. Till now, BPR&D has successfully organized 8 Conferences with the last one held on 11-12 September, 2023, at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

(iv).National Conference of Uniformed Women in Prison Administration:

BPR&D also organizes National Conference of Uniformed Women in Prison Administration biennially with a view to generate and disseminate innovative ideas and information on various gender perspectives in prison administration.

The first National Conference of Uniformed Women in Prison Administration was held in the year 2017 at BPR&D Hqrs., New Delhi. Till now, BPR&D has successfully organized 3 Conferences with the last one held on 22-23 February, 2022, at BPR&D Hqrs., New Delhi.
