The Bureau of Police Research and Development through its workshops has identified several best practices innovated and adopted by various State Police Forces, conforming to the concept of SMART Policing. Many of these practices are efforts by individual officers and focus on service delivery. Others have been the result of efforts made by Police Hqrs. and have been institutionalised and implemented over a large area with the support of the State Governments concerned. A number of these practices can easily be adopted and replicated by other states with a little modification.
