The BPR&D Library is one of the major police Science resources in India. It has a collection of about 26,000 volumes of books, including New Criminal Laws released by the Union Home Minister on 25.12.2023, and receives current periodicals & Newspapers (36).
The collection is particularly rich in the areas of Police Administration, Police Science, Correctional Administration, Terrorism, Criminology, Crime, Security, Crowd Control, Insurgency, Weapons, Police Training, Transport, Traffic, Police Reforms, Courts, Judiciary, Law, Narcotics, Forensic Science, Policing, Juvenile Delinquency, Human Trafficking, Money Laundering, Homeland Security, Cyber Terrorism, Computer Crime, Woman & Violence, Judicial System, Evidence, Human Rights, Narcotics, Crime Against Women, on Naxalism, Cyber Crime, Cyber Law, Adulteration, Arms & Explosive, Crowd Control, etc. The Library hosts crime in India Publications, reports of various committees and commissions appointed by the Central State Governments, Annual Reports of various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, and select Publications of international police journals.
Most of the Library functions and services are computerized. BPR&D Library uses e-granthalaya s/w for the same, besides having Books & periodicals also has the following:
